Privacy Policy

LMFinder is a small directory. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no advertising cookies. This page explains, in plain English, exactly what happens to the text you type into the search box.
Your search queries
When you describe your project, that text is used two ways:
- Sent to a third-party AI provider. Your query is sent to OpenRouter (which routes to an Anthropic model) so we can read your intent and generate the one-line reasoning shown on each recommendation. OpenRouter processes the request under its own privacy terms. We send only your query text and the option chips you select, never any identity.
- Logged for product analysis. Your raw query, the chips you chose, and the parsed task/deployment/budget signals are appended to a private server-side log. We use this to understand what people are looking for and to improve the directory. Queries are not tied to any account or name because we do not collect one, but a query may contain whatever you choose to type, so avoid entering personal or sensitive information.
Server logs
Like most websites, our server and web server keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser user-agent) for security, abuse prevention, and operations. These are ordinary access logs, not a profile of you.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookieless. It measures aggregate page traffic without setting cookies, without fingerprinting, and without any cross-site tracking. Because nothing is stored on your device, there is no cookie banner to click.
Cookies and advertising
We do not set advertising cookies and we do not run ad-tracking networks. If a page ever links out to a partner or affiliate, that is a plain outbound link and it is disclosed; it does not change our rankings. See our Terms of Service for how independence works.
